Research and development of hyperdocuments

The Centre examines the impact of hypertexts on interdisciplinary methodology and on the epistemology of electronic aids, especially in relation to current research in humanities concerning virtual spaces and theories of representation.

CATI's electronic publications are presented during symposiums organised at Paris IV with the participation of international speakers, together with workshops in the computer room and through demonstrations during exhibitions (notably in the Sorbonne Chapel). The team is also present abroad during Congresses for ICT specialists (The Universities of Glasgow, London, Charlottesville VA, Sheffield, New Orléans, Bamberg, SERENATE, Unesco).

Their work is published in book form (Sorbonne Press collection) and as videofilms on the history of computing, as well as in foreign publications (Congress proceedings "Digital Resources in the Humanities", Computerphilology review, also online). Its members present an interpretation of their work in the "online interviews" of the House of Human Sciences (Maison des Sciences de l'Homme - http://www.msh-paris.fr).

The CATI site offers a summary of its work in research document form, which is intended to promote the transfer of research work to teaching and courses by using lesson aids in the following areas:
